Licence to occupy: commercial property for business
This is not a lease, but more simply, a license. It does not
create a legal interest in land
About this document
A license has its benefits in that the property owner is effectively saying “OK, you can occupy my property for a while, but I can interrupt at any time and ask you to leave.” To a property owner, the benefit of a license is that it is mostly easier to exercise control over the tenants. A further advantage is that the high costs of solicitors can be avoided. However, since Net Lawman now provides a “real” lease at a modest price, it is now possible to have “the real thing” without the high cost of legal fees.
This comprehensive document includes all usual provisions in simple, easy to understand format.
