Agreement to protect an owner and their horse or pony loaned or rented for eventing, jumping or showing
About this document
This document is most suited to a situation where the horse is retired, semi retired or injured. Clearly, when a friend does a favour in taking a horse out of charity, an agreement may not be necessary. However, most such agreements do provide for the “carer” to have some benefit - light hacking or a foal or two perhaps. In the case of horses retired from top level competition, the activities still permitted may be extensive. The deal is a matter for agreement. This template document provides ideas and framework for a happy retirement!
